How to FTP PHP files to a remote server using Netbeans for MAC

In this tutorial I show you How to FTP PHP files to a remote server using Netbeans for MAC. The process is very simple and makes pushing changes to a PHP website a breeze. I will be demonstrating how to deploy a project to a Linux Control Panel in the video below, but the same principles should apply to any server.

What you will need:

  • Your C Panel username
  • Your C panel password
  • Your server’s ip address (demonstrated in the video)
  • Netbeans IDE

You may not want to push changes to a live website each time you press the ‘Save’ button. If this is the case, you can edit the Run Configeration on the project and change it to ‘On Run’ or ‘Manually’ (See below)

That is it. Just edit the project to change the Run Config settings and you can tweak how the files are transferred.
